The Achilles Hood represents one, often uncomfortable truth, that we are not here forever

Inspired by the words of Homer and The Iliad, the design reflects the concept that mortality should not be feared but used as motivation.

The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because every day could be our last.

The stoics teach us the phrase Memento Mori, that means remember death, and the practice of reflection on mortality that goes back to Socrates.

It’s there for clarity and perspective, not darkness or fear, and the acceptance can actually free us from what often holds us back, yourself.
